Ram offers three distinct pickup model lines for 2023 in Canada, each of which has attributes that make it more attractive to different buyers. Here is what you should know about them.

The Ram 1500

The most popular truck in the 2023 lineup is the regular 1500 model. This truck is part of the new generation of Ram pickups that was launched in 2019 and it benefits from a modern style and all of the latest technologies. This version is available in a wide range of trim levels and configurations in order to appeal to as many buyers as possible, from those wanting a well-equipped truck for their family or those who want all of the comfort and features of a luxury car. The 2023 Ram 1500 is available with either the 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine with e-Torque mild-hybrid technology or the 5,7L Hemi V8, with or without the same hybrid system. The top-of-the-line TRX version is powered by a unique 6.2L supercharged Hemi V8 engine that delivers 702 horsepower. The Ram 1500 is offered with either a 5.7-foot or a 6.4-foot-long bed and with the Quad or Crew cabs. Maximum towing capacity is set at 12,750 pounds.

The Ram 1500 Classic

Buyers who want a more affordable truck either for work or for play can choose the 2023 Ram 1500 Classic. As its name implies, this model is simply a continuation of the previous generation of the Ram 1500 which is offered alongside the new model at a discount. Available in six trim levels, this truck offers a wider range of configuration possibilities since it is the only Ram 1500 model offered with a choice of Regular, Quad, and Crew cabs. Paired with the Regular cab, an 8-foot bed can be ordered alongside the 5.7 and 6.4-foot-long versions. The 2023 Ram 1500 Classic is powered either by the 3.6L V6 or the 5.7L Hemi V8, giving a maximum towing capacity of 10,610 pounds.

The Ram HD

The 2023 Ram lineup is completed by the 2500 and 3500 models which make the HD family. These trucks are the most capable models to be offered by Ram due to their beefed-up frame, powertrains, and suspensions which make them able to tow up to 20,000 pounds for the 2500 and 37,090 pounds with the 3500. These models, based on the new generation 1500, are available in a multitude of rugged or luxurious trim levels which can be ordered with either the Regular, Crew, or Mega Cab and with a 6.4 or 8-foot bed. In terms of powertrains, both models offer the 6.4L Hemi V8 or the acclaimed 6.7L Cummins turbodiesel engine.
