A Look at the Jeep Cherokee for 2023

The Jeep Cherokee continues to be an attractive choice in the compact SUV segment this year due to a number of changes that include more standard features and technologies, building upon its already impressive off-road capabilities.

What’s new for 2023?

The 2023 Jeep Cherokee arrives with a simplified lineup that contains just two well-equipped trim levels that offer more standard equipment than last year. The entry-level Altitude model now gains adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, front and rear parking sensors, as well as perpendicular and parallel park assist. The uplevel TrailHawk also adds Nappa leather a power passenger seat with two-way lumbar support, black 17-inch alloy wheels, and automatic headlamps. In addition, both models benefit from an 8.4-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. The engine lineup has also been simplified to keep only the efficient 2,4L four-cylinder unit on the Altitude and the powerful 2,0L turbocharged unit on the Trailhawk.

Legendary off-road capabilities

The 2023 Jeep Cherokee is the most capable SUV in its class once the pavement ends because it benefits from the brand’s off-roading experience and all of its advanced all-wheel drive technologies. Both trim levels of the Cherokee come standard with the Selec-Terrain system that features four drive modes (five on TrailHawk) which give more control to the driver by changing parameters of the all-wheel drive system and the transmission’s mapping to better suit changing conditions such as snow, sand, mud or rocks. Choosing the Trailhawk model also adds a more rugged suspension and underbody protection plates in addition to the locking rear differential and two-speed transfer case.

Advanced technologies

Despite not being the newest model in its category, the 2023 Jeep Cherokee is equipped with all of the latest features and technologies because it has continuously been updated. This is why the Cherokee features all of the safety technologies above as well as the Uconnect 4C infotainment system that is faster and easier to use than before while also including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, and Amazon Alexa.
