Here’s a Look at the Jeep Cherokee in 2023

The Jeep Cherokee has long been a popular model in its segment due to its legendary capabilities and a long list of standard and available features. This year, a number of changes make the Cherokee even more appealing.

What’s new in 2023?

The 2023 Jeep Cherokee lineup has been simplified significantly this year since only two well-equipped trim levels are offered. This has made the standard equipment in the Cherokee much more complete in 2023. For example, the Altitude model comes standard with features such as adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, lane-keeping assist, parking assist, and an 8,4-inch infotainment system touchscreen. The more expensive and more capable Trailhawk 4x4 model also adds Nappa leather, a power passenger’s seat, black 17-inch alloy wheels, and automatic high beams.

Two modern and powerful engines

The 2023 Jeep Cherokee can be powered by one of two four-cylinder engines, with the 3,2L V6 having been retired. The standard powertrain is a 2,4L unit that delivers 180 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque while the turbocharged 2.0L engine found under the hood of the Trailhawk generates 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. This is only one horsepower less than the outgoing V6 and significantly more torque, making the Cherokee faster and more efficient. Both engines are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission that allows fuel consumption figures of only 8,0L / 100 km on the highway with the standard engine.

The same off-roading capabilities

The 2023 Jeep Cherokee continues to be the most capable vehicle in its class in terms of off-road driving. This is due to the brand’s 80 years of experience in making vehicles that an navigate trails with ease. Choosing the Trailhawk model brings features such as off-road suspension, a locking rear differential, Selec-Terrain with additional Rock mode, and all-terrain tires. This contributes to making sure Jeep drivers reach their destination no matter the weather or the road conditions.
