What to Know About the Ram Revolution Concept

Ram unveiled one of the most important vehicles in its history at the beginning of January during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Here is what you need to know about the Ram 1500 Revolution concept.

Up to 805 kilometres on a charge

The Ram 1500 Revolution concept is a preview of the first electric pickup that will join the Ram lineup in 2024. Not all of the technical details for this vehicle have been revealed, but we already know that it will benefit from up to 805 kilometres of range on a charge, which is more than most EVs currently on the market and more than enough for most drivers’ needs. If the battery needs a top-up while out on the road, the 800-volt architecture will ensure the Ram EV is back on the road quickly by making it possible to charge at a rate of up to 350 kW, the fastest currently available with public fast chargers.

Up to 10,000 lb of towing capacity and an available range extender

Ram believes trucks need to be able to work hard, no matter what kind of energy powers them. This is why the electric Ram Revolution concept can tow loads that weigh over 10,000 pounds, making it the most capable electric truck in the works. In order to be able to tow these loads all day long without having to stop for a charge every few hours, the Ram Revolution will be the only electric truck to offer the option of a range extender. This technology will use a small combustion engine to charge the battery while the truck is going down the road, making it more efficient than traditional gasoline or diesel-powered truck and more capable than a fully electric one.

All of the features Ram is known for

Ram trucks are very practical and versatile vehicles that offer a large variety of features that meet every customer’s needs. This will also be true of the Ram Revolution since it will be equipped with popular features such as revised Ram Boxes, a 50/50 split multifunction tailgate, power running boards, and two 14.2-inch screens on the dashboard. New features exclusive to this model will also include a third-row jump seat, a power front trunk, and a level 3 driver assistance system.
